I know what you mean. We are on a journey. For instance, I am going toward veganism, but I don’t know that I will get there. The important thing is be aware of how our use affects other living beings.
I don’t know many vegetarians, and fewer vegans. I do know some flexitarians. Some have one day a week without animal products. Others eat meat at only one meal a day. Another group reduces portion sizes of animal products.
We vegetarians are not totally in the same camp. It seems to me to be nearly impossible to exist w/o using some animal products. But if we consume responsibly, the market for animals raised and slaughtered by CAFOs will be considerably reduced and the CAFOs that remain will be held more accountable.
August 28 is Caring for Creation Sunday @ Munsey Methodist Church. Perhaps you might have time to stop in and see some of the display tables that will be set up in the CLC lobby. My Animal table will be there from 8:am - noon. Other tables for about the same time, I expect. --HB
