Talking about combining faith, environment, and passion --- John Shuck, pastor at First Presbyterian Elizabethton, has a new radio show on our local NPR station WETS 89.5. Religion for Life airs Thursday nights @ 8pm and Sunday afternoons @ 2pm.
John has been interviewing all kinds of fascinating and inspiring individuals, including Jennie Young, who has spearheaded our regional--turned statewide!--campaign against TN Mtn Top removal. She has established partnerships with nonprofits as well as businesses, like the Elizabethon Star, to get the message out. John's interview with Jennie can be found here...
John was intrigued about GINI's February 19th speaker, Dr. Laura Hartman. Her book came out on Oxford Press this year: The Christian Consumer. Her interview with John will air the week preceding the meeting. Yay! Thank you John for the press!
Carol Landis, president of the GINI Board, has also been interviewed about her life in Ohio with Ohio Interfaith Power and Light and the Byrd Polar Research Center..and about her dual life in Tennessee, being a part of starting GINI. I look forward to hearing this interview when it is aired later in the spring.
Religion for Life is co-broadcast at Emory and Henry, VA, on WEHC.
