Attached is a petition to US Representative Phil Roe (R-TN) requesting his support of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act.

This bipartisan-sponsored US House bill seeks to create incentives for energy conservation and efficiency through the use of a carbon fee and dividend mechanism. There are a number of positive features in this bill. A couple of national faith organizations have endorsed this proposal. A brief infographic is included with this petition.

Green Interfaith would like to present a large number of signed petitions to Rep. Roe during the week of April 22 (Earth Week).

There are several ways you can join the movement to support this bill:

1) You can download the petition, fill it out on your computer, and return it via e-mail back to greeninterfaith@gmail.com 

2) You can print the first page of the document, fill it out, and return it via the mail to PO Box 4293, Johnson City, TN 37602

3) You can print both pages and post it at your place of worship for the next six weeks, then mail it back to GINI.

Whichever way you can support this proposed legislation, be sure to get the petition back by April 19.
