Event Description
Plan to join us on Sunday, September 18th from 3:00 - 5:00 at the Summit Leadership Foundation for our first program of the GINI year. Aubrie Abernethy and Nancy Barrigar will share information about monarch butterflies, along with pictures and stories from their efforts to promote monarch butterfly success in our region. Those efforts include a successful planting of milkweeds (from seed balls) on Roan Mountain. NOTE: If you haven't read it yet, you might enjoy Barbara Kingsolver's book, Flight Behavior, as an enjoyable tutorial on the subject.
