The next GINI meeting will be held at the Johnson City Public Library on Sept 16th from 3:30-5:30 p.m. (an hour earlier than usual to accommodate the Library's closing time).
We will be joined by author Jay Leutze. His acclaimed account (published June 2012), "Stand up that Mountain: The battle to save one small community in the wilderness along the Appalachian Trail," chronicles a riveting story full of colorful characters from the foot of Roan Mountain. Jay will share his experiences in community activism in the Southern Appalachians and the group discussion will be motivating.
