Clergy and other lay leaders whose congregations debate whether or not Earth stewardship is "too political" for congregational action are especially invited to a potluck meal and discussion of this topic with Rev. Cappel. This event will be held Sat., Oct. 18th, at 6:00 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church (500 N. Roan St., Johnson City).
This meeting and discussion has a congregational focus and all congregational leaders are invited to participate, as well as members of the public who are unable to join GINI for the regular meeting the next day (see the next "event" on our list).
Rev. Jerry Cappel, Environmental Network Coordinator for the Episcopal Church, Province IV, will be our guest of honor. His recent work will help to focus our discussion.
Beverages and casseroles will be provided. Please come early to mingle, and please bring a dish to share.
