tax-deductible donations gratefully accepted

I'm not in the habit of soliciting. But for those who like to give other kinds of gifts as tributes and/or who may be in a position to make a donation to a not-for-profit group, I hope that Green Interfaith is seen as a worthy recipient. I've received about 6 other pleas for support this morning, so I decided to join the fray.

I'm proud of what we've been able to do so far, and believe we are making good strides toward connecting with other people and faith groups who are conscientious about using God's gifts to their greatest potential. Our membership includes some folks with key interests in addition to their general ethos that just simply is aligned with our mission and vision.

In broad strokes and in the finer detail of events and decisions, we want GINI to become a stalwart for the faithful in our region. With support from the Episcopal Church Province IV Environmental Ministry, we are beginning the process of conducting green audits in houses of worship in our area. We continue to host speakers at our meetings and provide reliable information on our website. We are registered for the TN Environmental Conference in March. We use social media and networking strategies to build a presence that will be recognized as issues are discussed in our communities, state, and region.

If you share our mission and vision and are interested in earning a tax deduction, please consider mailing a donation beyond your membership amount to GINI, P.O. Box 4293, Johnson City, TN  37602-4293. We will gratefully acknowledge your gift of support. All funds received go directly toward costs of events and/or Internet or postal obligations. Once again, I also thank the Board of Directors for their selfless donation of time and talent to the success of Green Interfaith.

We have much work to do and we depend on your energy and your support to thwart the efforts of coal conglomerates and to shape and guide our wise use of resources. Blessings to all in the new year!
