If you haven't seen it yet, there's an article in the Elizabethton Star about Jennie Young's efforts to coordinate action to protect the Tennessee mountains we love. I completely agree that this is a moral issue and one which we cannot afford to surrender to the powerful (and moneyed) interests that influence our politicians.

Once again, I appeal to you to take action. Please write a letter, post a blog, sign a petition, make a sign, donate, or do whatever you can do to demonstrate that we care about Earth care. This will require continued effort and repeated actions on our part. It won't happen overnight, and if we let up, we will fail. Please encourage others you know to join the effort and make their voices heard.
