Bill McKibben is an author, environmentalist, and activist. In 1988, he wrote _The End of Nature_, the first book for a common audience about global warming. He is the co-founder and Chairman of the Board at 350.org, an international climate campaign works in 188 countries around the world.
Join us in the Lipinsky Auditorium on the UNCA campus. The event will begin at 7:00 on Wednesday, November 30. We are not selling tickets however, so be sure to arrive early to claim a seat!
Bill's speech will likely be centered around celebrating the recent success of delaying the Tar Sands pipeline. However the work on this and other projects is not done, and he will be encouraging an action the following day focused around this and other climate change issues.
